Former Ghana national team defender Quartey joins New Radiant

Former Ghana national team defender Jonathan Quartey has signed for New Radiant for the upcoming season.

Quartey has played alongside top class players such as Sulley Muntari, Asamoah Gyan and Michael Essien in the Ghana national team.

The 25 year old, 6ft 1inch defender last played in Vietnam's top league and Asanthi Gold SC of Ghana premier league in 2012.

He played 9 competitive games of Ghana national team and 3 games for Ghana U17 team. He was part of Ghana U17 team in the 2005 FIFA U17 world championship held in Peru.

He made his Ghana senior team debut in 2008 against Libya.

Quartey had a trial with English Championship side Bristol City in 2009 and has the experience of playing against players such as Ryan Giggs.

Quartey is expected to join New Radiant squad on 29th of this month.
